Harmony Service
Our HARMONY SERVICES are those occasions when the folks at First Service and the folks at Second Service combine for one big “family” type service. We feature both contemporary and traditional styles of music in order to minister to the wider generational spectrum.
Hot Meal
On Monday nights our doors are open to the community to serve a free hot meal to any who may be in need. In Mount Vernon, different churches take turns serving a free meal to the community.
Men’s Bible Study
Every Tuesday men are invited during their lunch hour to come and focus on what is important – their walk with Jesus Christ. This is a free flow discussion on how the Bible and our lives intersect. No materials other than a Bible is necessary. We have plenty on hand if you come without a copy of the Bible. This study meets on Tuesdays at 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. in the Church Kitchen.
BSA Troop #339
First Presbyterian Church sponsor BSA Troop 339 for boys. Scouting has been a part of our church’s ministry since 1938. Troop 339 has produced over 100 Eagle Scouts.
